One of the year’s best concert and art auction events will be shaking things up for 2009, with a new date and a new venue.

Arts Jam, the unique fundraiser that supports art and music programming in the Grand Rapids Public Schools, will be held in April this year instead of its traditional February date. Save the date for Sunday, April 19. The event will still be held from 2pm-5pm with the concert portion first, followed by the art auction and food and beverage reception.

Also this year’s event will be held for the first time at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center located at 600 Forest Hill Avenue.

Arts Jam is organized by the GRPS Arts Advocates, a group of parents, staff and community members who believe in the importance of arts education in the schools. More information will follow in March, regarding the concert line up and a preview of the artwork available at the auction.
